October brought us the High Holidays. Our first blessing was Rabbi Yoni coming back to hold services for us here at Temple Beth Shalom in Fort Walton Beach. He was one of our student rabbis several years ago, but he was able to come back for the High Holidays. Those of us who remember him, as were many others, were overjoyed by his visit. We had a second blessing with Eli’s Bar Mitzvah.

The members of the synagogue gathered one Sunday morning to put up our sukkah for Sukkot. The children of our religious school decorated the sukkah with plastic fruit. They also provided us with love rocks to decorate the entrance to our synagogue.
November promises to bring more adventures. We’re planning on a Latke Party as well as other social events. Of course, we still have our Friday night services and Saturday morning Toral lessons. Members and guests are welcome to join us.
