What a great start to Summer here on the Emerald Coast or as some like to call it “Paradise”.
White powder sand, blue-green water that’s 85 degrees! Donna and I have been here three
years as of June 6th and have no regrets of leaving NY/NJ. Well to be honest we do miss family but they can Visit!
The first thing we did, literally was to join Temple Beth Shalom and now I have the privilege of
leading us into our future.
Next year at this time our country will be celebrating 250 years as a nation. Also, in November
of 2025, TBS will also celebrate 40 years as Okaloosa County’s preeminent institution of Jewish life, worship and learning. More to come on what will be a significant celebration for the entire community.
As we all know and can now see what this past year has brought us in updating and adding
beauty and dignity to our beloved house of worship and our congregation.
Our gratitude goes out to Tisha Fleet and her refresh committee for their vision and countless
hours of dedication in achieving their and our goals for TBS.
Kol HaKavod!!
Even before there was a committee the impetus for this project came from our now Past
President, Michael Walker who knew that TBS needed updating and had the foresight to create the committee to effectuate his vision for the future of TBS.
Thank you Michael from a grateful community!!
Finally, as we move into our 40th Anniversary Year, let us all of us redouble our efforts to grow, enhance and strengthen our Kehillah. In Hebrew there is a word that befits our mission,
B’Yachad – Together.
Together we are Stronger, Together we are Smarter, Together we are more Caring.
Together we Thrive!!!
B’Yachad and Am Yisroel Chai.
