About the event
Join the Rabbi from 12-1 on November 13 and 20, and December 4, 11, and 18, for an introduction to the practice of Mussar. Bring a sack lunch!
Defined as moral conduct or discipline, first developed in the early 19 th century in Lithuania, Mussar is a way to develop greater holiness by growing our inner virtues. Called middot, examples of some virtues include humility, gratitude, and compassion. Mussar provides a springboard for focused self-reflection through study and action.
The text being used is entitled, “Everyday Holiness: The Jewish Spiritual Path of Mussar” by Alan Morinis.
